You're Having Contractions. Push!

There comes a season in everyone's life where things just seem to be going wrong. Your business is on a downward spiral, kids are acting up, friends and family have been distant, it's been a month and you haven't heard back from the job you applied to, everything just doesn't seem right. At this point, it's hard to see past your situation. It's almost impossible to see the light at the end of the tunnel. It feels like you are carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders. Well, I've got some news for you... You're having contractions!

The hardest part of a pregnancy journey is at the point of delivery. A woman would typically go months with hardly any pain as strong as the pain she feels when she is about to deliver her baby. Yes, she might have some discomfort, aches and braxton hicks along the way, but she is able to endure and breathe throught the pain. But, at the point where she is about to welcome the precious gift she has worked really hard to grow, she suddenly feels a crippling pain, unbearable enough for her to want to give up on the whole journey. She screams "I can't do it!" "Please make it stop!" "I don't want to do this anymore!". Shsuddenly can't see the light at the end of the tunnel. She believes in that moment, it's much easier to give up.

Just when she is about to give up, she tries one last time, with the help of the birthing team around her cheering her on, "It's almost here, PUSH!". With all the streangth she has left, she pushes and births her miracle. At first glance, she forgets all the pain. She forgets the darkness and hopelessness she felt. "It was all worth it" she says with a smile and tears in her eyes as she stairs at her precious gift.

The hardest part of a journey is at the point of breakthrough. At this point, it seems easier to give up than to keep going. It seems like the pain, the fears, the disappointment is too much to bear. But this is the point where you push even more. You push harder. This is when you surround yourself with cheerleaders, those who would be on the sidelines encoraging you, supporting you, lending a helping hand. This is your community. This is your support group. Keep pushing! keep swimming! Your gift is just a push away. And once it's here, you would look back and say, "I did it!", "It was all worth it!", " I didn't give up and it all paid off."

Remember, Don't give up! You've got this! PUSH!
