About the event

Ringside Meditation serves as a mental & physical workout for entrepreneurs, stay-at-home parents, and business professionals. Taking place on Monday mornings, this event is intended to combat “Monday Madness” with breathing, meditation, and a cardio workout.

The Translational Psychiatry reveals that participants who meditated for 30 minutes and trained cardio for 30 minutes reported significantly less depressive symptoms and ruminative thoughts. Those who combined meditation and exercise twice a week for eight weeks experienced a 40% reduction in depressive symptoms.

Meditation is known to counter and/or eliminate chronic pain. Gaining control over your mind, allows you better control of pain reception, making you in charge of your workout. Get ready to work out your mind, body, and Spirit!

Participants will meet at Santiago’s Boxing Club on Mondays at 8:30 am. Water, towel, and yoga mat are suggested. Mat area may be utilized for participants without a mat. Alkaline water will be provided for refills. Breathing and meditation practice will be led by Master Teacher and Holistic Coach, Mimi the Motivator. Boxing workout will be provided by Coach Jerone Penrose, a USA Boxing Certified Coach & Official, as well as the owner of Santiago’s Boxing Club.

Each 1-hour session will include:
  • Greetings & Setup
  • Breathing Exercise (5 minutes)
  • Boxing Workout (20-30 minutes)
  • Guided Meditation (15-20 minutes)
  • Quiet Goodbyes

Price: $15 for members. $22 for non-members.
